A Featureless Grip I can almost tolerate

Thanks captain obvious. No one is debating that a standard pistol grip on an AR is optimal. What people are saying is that shooting a longgun, any longgun, one handed is not optimal, pistol grip or not, and is also not necessary, and no longgun has ever been designed to shoot one handed with the "trigger" hand holding and pointing the firearm without the use of a rest or the stock against the torso. To fantasize about how it could be necessary in a life or death scenario and therefore an AR with a fin grip is a deal breaker, is absolute nonsense. We arent talking about pistols, PDWs or SMGs. Im defining a longgun as a firearm with a stock and at least a 16" barrel.

And if you consider real life use cases, even Kyle Rittenhouse was able to defend himself with both hands on his AR while in a highly compromised position. He also had a sling. It does not appear that he needed to point and shoot his AR with only the use of his "trigger" hand. I cant believe its even necessary to point this out so explicitly. Do people really believe a fingripped AR is unuseable because it cant be pointed and shot onehanded so as to be able to simultaneously shoot another gun in the other hand or you might be killed in a life or death situation, because you never know, you could win the powerball? Its assinine.

Ok, I don’t know? My opinion is fin grips suck! You can keep them, you can keep Kyle Rittenhouse too. I’ll stick with JT and sparrow for now…

Finally installed the grip after changing the stock to a shorter LOP Magpul one. This feels a lot better.

IMHO, the only truly comfortable featureless options are shotgun/rifle style such as Fightlite, CMMG Dissent, and Foxtrot. Unfortunately, the latter two can only take certain uppers and Fightlite is very expensive. I'm rocking Sparrows for now. Interesting seeing fin grips make a return, I remember not that long ago everyone was trying to get rid of theirs.

I get the fin grip looks better. I prefer a sparrow or juggernaut grip.

I have the JT grip on all of my rifles and I've tried all the different options. I really feel that it's the most natural feeling one will still be in compliant

May have to try it out. I have the Juggernaut on mine. The only thing I don't understand is why it's made of heavy material and no grip tape or anything. You'd think for the price it would at least come with some type of grip.

Probably cost more for the tooling I'm guessing.

I never tried the original Juggernaut but I 3D printed one with the fuzzy skin setting enabled. Gives plenty of grip this way.

So you want to shoot two guns at the same time? I understand maybe needing to hold two guns in each hand but not shooting two at the same time. Just doesn't seem practical at all. You watch too many movies. Even with a fin grip you could still hold and shoot and AR with one hand about as accurately as an AR with a standard grip. So I don't think your argument holds any water. Even a standard AR wasn't designed to be used primarily one-handed, why does it have a stock then?

NCstar featureless grip with thumb rest is the best by far. Hate the fin but the thumb rest makes it 10x better.

You would hope so, but these days people are often more serious than not when it comes to fin grips. I've read enough comments about fin grips to notice that a lot of people just start saying the silliest, dumbest stuff when they see a fin grip. Also, they never said they were joking, so it's a safe bet to take them at their word. There's a saying that goes, "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity". Well, these days the same can be said about joking.
