Howdy C&R Junkies,

Here's a quick and crappy shot of my humble Euro SKS iron heap. I got the top rifle from MashedPotatoJohnson out of Huston. Took 2 months of Kali DOJ hassle.
I just picked a '51 Tula as issued (on right)
Top to bottom:
'51 Tula light refurb BBQ, where there's #s they match, only the stock is forced, doesn't seem run much, bolt and hammer face look new, over all excellent
'54 as issued Tula but ruined by the former 01 FFL who bought it new for $89 bucks back in the day, I call it the "Green Hornet"
'54 Izhevsk refurb all matching and not run much
'59 M59C Yugoslavian as issued with correct sling, about the cleanest SKS I have
'60 M56 Romanian, (Transylvania actually) forced in many areas, rough furniture, typical example for a Romy, good bore but looks like a vet
'69 & '70 M56 Albanian both matching, '70 is nicer
These guys are all cosmo free, clean and functional main battle rifles but are hanger queens. Someday I'll do a better pictorial layout, thanks for looking, enjoy. PAX

Very nice garden there! I'll admit to knowing little to nothing about the SKS in general.

I am a C&R holder and do have a few that qualify, but only one Eastern Bloc-ish that qualifies C&R and it's not truly Eastern Bloc, it's a pre Soviet Russian. Here's my 1934 all numbers matching hex-receiver Tula 91/30.

My firstest SKS was a $70 dollar single shot. I had to tear into it (there by learning the platform), to diagnose the issue, was a stuck gas piston. As it turned out, as folks started to become more savvy of SKS history, a decade later that rifle was determined to be an as new Israeli contract depot capture from Syria. It has features that set it aside from a regular Chinese arsenal /26\, CAI import stamp, blued bolt, 12 million serial and a Russian laminate stock double cut for both blade and spike bayos. Very uncommon and worth Russian SKS bank.

Very nice! I only have 3: Romanian, Chinese and Yugo. And two wanna-be cousins.

Some nice rifles eddie. I need a VZ 58 and a Rasheed. I just recently acquired one of the cleanest Hakims I've ever seen, but I've only seen two in the wild. PAX

Thank you. Bought at Big5, 2004ish, $149.00. Had it refinished, parkerized, by DGR, when he was still in San Diego. Back then, 800 rounds of Yugo surplus ammo was $59.00. Dean really got the wood cleaned up. The grain really pops in the sunlight.
