Just thought I'd post a pic of my latest acquisitions for this fine firearm.
- Extended safety from Patriot Machining Services. (Works like a dream)
- Hogue Handall Beavertail Grip.
- 10/12 round magazines from Country Spirit.
- Hogue Grip Extension Base Pad from Optics Planet. iykyk (they have black back in stock now)

Why not go all out and get it milled for an optic plate system or direct milled for a RMRsc if it’s not a CA version with the LCI?

Does the patriot safety remove the issue of the safety being able to be disengaged so early/with barely any pressure/movement on the lever? That was my issue with the manual safety versions that caused me to forgo it entirely for my Carry comp.

It is a CA version, but mounting the Gideon Pebble on the rear sight channel is good enough for me.

I had the exact opposite problem with my 2.0 safety. No matter how much I manipulated it, it was almost impossible to move with just my thumb. I have safeties on all of my carry guns so it was imperative it worked. Now it's not to hard and not too soft (twss). It's just right. I have one on my Shield Plus as well so that all of my carry guns have the same safety. Now if Apex Tactical would just make a trigger for this thing..... 😁

Now that I look at it further, I don't know if this would even work with the defiant direct mill that I have on my carry comp slide. The cut has those wings that more or less restrict some of the space between this and the extended safety, so if you're running this safety I think the defiant direct mill optic or an optic that overhangs the slide too much like most RMSc footprint optics is out.

That's too bad though as I've run the original shield 1.0 safety they offered since they originally released it many years ago, back when they were still great house instead of patriot.
