sights for cz75

I’m thinking about starting a new project: mounting an optical sight on my CZ 75 B. I plan to mill the slide and already have a shop/person who can do the work.


My question is about co-witnessing the iron sights. I have a P-10 C with about the same sight radius; for it I used a Dawson Precision front sight (0.280" tall) and an AmeriGlo rear sight (0.507" tall). I can find a front sight for the CZ-75 that is 0.280" tall (Dawson Precision even offers one with fiber), but I can’t locate a rear sight with the same height that uses the CZ-specific dovetail.


Any pointers?

Really depends on the optic you're using + shop you're using, but basically you'll need to ask your shop. There's a ton of people out there who will cut your slide with varying degrees of skill and height. You might be OK with the built-in rear sights on an optic for cowitnessing the front sight or not, and different optics have different deck heights, which could differ how tall you might prefer the irons.
