Scorpion 3+ and Timney trigger heads up

Got it installed per the instructions. Pretty straight forward besides getting the safety assembly back though and in place where it needs to be to function correctly. A little PITA.

Issue came when I went to move the safety from fire to safe. It would not budge! Did a little searching and found that there is a little hex head screw above the detent that was screwed in so tight, it would not allow the safety to move. Using the supplied hex tool, just unscrewed it a bit and boom, it moved. I'm assuming it's for the user to dial in it in to their liking, but the instructions make no mention of it at all and neither does their install video. Kind of strange....

Anyways just a heads up!

BTW, took it to the range today. Just a blast to shoot and dialed in. Probably about 500 rounds so far, 200 on the new Nexus bolt.

The set up is:

CZ Scorpion 3+ (Magpul edition)
Holosun HE515GM mounted on a Arisaka 1.93"
Nexus enhanced complete bolt assembly
HBI Pro Stock charging handle
Strike Industries extended safety selector switch
WPS adjustable sling
Timney trigger (3# spring installed currently, but does come with a 5# spring as well)
Just need a light now.

I don’t remember if I saw any instructions on that adjustment when I installed mine about 18 months ago. I do remember playing around with that adjustment looking to add more strength to that detent as the spring was kinda wimpy imo. I like a more tactile safety. I did notice there was a point turning in would stop the safety drum from turning . I wish they had a firmer spring but it’s a small spring so it’s limited. I just backed it out just enough for the safety drum to turn as you did and it’s never changed after thousands and thousands of rounds. It’s a good trigger.
