K6XS is relatively new, how does it feel to carry? Shoot? I'm considering getting one.

Mine is the K6S, with all SS frame and cylinder.
23 oz compared to my 13.5 oz LCR and wider.
The XS is very close to LCR in weight and size.
At 25 yards the K6S is awesome accurate.
In a Galco Stow and go, you hardly know it’s there ..

Haven't found a place that rents it, but I found a local shop that has it and they let me dry fire it. It's a nice one.

glad to know so many still carry the snubby, I have mine in a pocket carry tacky holster. easily slip in the pocket and holster stays in pocket when drawn...

I firmly believe in short-barreled revolvers as close range defensive tools. For me personally, I find them to be much more reliable than most all the micro pistols currently out there that I’ve had occasion to try in CQ shooting scenarios. With the very small micro pistols it seems that they work for the first round, then hang up after that. But that is just my experience, and not necessarily everyone else’s. I went through a whole bunch of thrift store jackets, sweatshirts, and a few pants with cargo pockets to arrive at that, and am still fishing brass out of a few different personal vehicles. Has been fun doing all that at night as well.

Stats show that it's 3 rounds anyway. Carry comfortably so that you're always carrying. Snub nose revolvers are awesome. I'm considering getting that k6xs even though I already have a 442.

Another aspect about snubs is using them for ankle carry when seated for long driving trips. For those of us with sciatica, low back, and hip issues, keeping bulky objects off the waistline really helps. With practice, drawing from an ankle holster can be fast, and with a revolver I don’t have to be as concerned with grip style like I do when attempting to use micro semiautomatic pistols.
There is one downside that I seldom see mentioned about ankle carry: if your weapon is heavy enough and you use ankle carry while doing lots of walking, etc., eventually (long term) it is very likely that knee issues develop. It is like walking around all the time with a fitness weight strapped to your ankle. Eventually the knee on that side starts to deteriorate, sometimes it gets bad.

I haven't gotten a cargo shorts pocket holster yet but this seems like a good option. Alabama holsters have them. Pocket holster on your thigh, even for long trips. Shorts for summer, etc.

Same with my Bodyguard.380.
Back to SW several times for that issue. Slide, replaced as well a safety and new mag followers. Slide now stays open after last round but still had FTF, stovepipes, and bullet feeds ending with bullet pointing up through the ejection port.
Last trip they put 2 mags and had no issues.
Get it back and still have bullet up misfeeds.
This was all with round nose.
So pissed that the problems still exist, my last box of 50 rounds were old Winchester flat points. 50 rounds without a problem.. go figure.. I want to list it on the CCW BECAUSE it is accurate as hell at 25 yards and down.

IMO, the fix for that Bodyguard is easy: trash can or sell it. No way I’m going to take any chances with some tool that I have zero confidence in.
My personal observation is that a lot of the micro pistols are good for about one round when fired in any condition other than with the shooter’s arms fully extended, strong grip, pistol slide/frame oriented normally, and not in a pocket, bag, purse, etc. That is one reason I prefer other weapons, YMMV.
NO weapon platform is perfect, and they all have pros & cons. And sometimes I want only my SCUBA knife

I hear ya.. on the other hand, my SigP238 HD eats anything, accurate, and in 300+ rounds never a issue.

I carry my 642 in a Phlster City Special ($80?) or Desantis pocket holster ($20?). Both work great for their purposes. I have considered picking up a Vedder pocket holster too.

PHLster City Special are among my favorite CCW holsters aside from the Enigma for my Glocks.
