Question With Regards to Selling 500 Rounds Per Month

Assume I sell 500 rounds of ammo today, December 21st. Can I sell 500 rounds on January 1st, or would I need to wait 30 days after my last transaction to sell more?

As a general rule, you should probably avoid selling ammo to the type of person who would turn around and report you to the authorities for selling ammo to them.

The last time I went to do a ammo transfer they said ”We are to busy right now and under staffed go out to the parking lot and just do your transfer"

Do what you will, (regardless of whether you can find a FFL to do the transfer) but the statute (https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/...um=30342.&nodeTreePath=9.4.11.1.3&lawCode=PEN) says:

30342.
(a) Commencing January 1, 2018, a valid ammunition vendor license shall be required for any person, firm, corporation, or other business enterprise to sell more than 500 rounds of ammunition in any 30-day period.

Fun Fact:
There is no such thing as an Ammo PPT in the DES system. Stores just run the standard ammo check.
Since the Store is never putting in seller sold xxx rounds and just runs a check on the buyer I don't know how they think they can enforce that.
I keep a copy of the sellers ID with the paperwork but unless the seller does 4 500 round ammo PPT's at the same store in a short period it will be very difficult to catch with no electronic records.

Sometimes ammo just falls out and someone happens to find it. Then turn around there may be cash that the other person found.

My local LGS said he doesn't give a F what two people do with their ammo, he's not wasting time and money doing a transfer
