Problems with a CZ 457 barrel swap?

Anyone having problems changing the barrel on their CZ 457 rifle? I bought a new one a couple of years ago in 22LR and planned to swap out the barrel for 22Mag. The barrels were on back order and came available again in the beginning of this year. I bought one from CZ and tried to install it. The 22LR barrel was difficult to get out and I finally managed to remove it. The 22Mag barrel would not go into the receiver no matter what I tried. I have called CZ several times and gotten a different story each time. One told me the bolt guide was the problem, they were working on it and would notify me when they were available. After no notification I called and the guy said he had no knowledge of the problem. Several calls later I was told they would Email me a prepaid shipping label and would finally get it fixed. Needless to say, no label. The 22LR barrel will not go back into the receiver so the rifle sits in the closet in pieces.
Anyone have experience or a cure?

A barrel that's hard to remove or hard to install is a really GOOD thing for accuracy.
I would much prefer a barrel to be tight in the reciever than to be so loose that I could slide the barrel in or out by hand.
If a barrel is loose like that, you are relying ONLY on some setscrews to keep the barrel from moving around in the receiver.
Since the scope is installed on the receiver and the barrel is installed on the receiver, if the barrel moves around after the scope was zeroed, then the scope is no longer pointing where it was when the scope was when previously zeroed.

Pull the action out of the stock and remove any optics or plastic parts from the receiver.
Now warm the receiver up to around 300-400 degrees F and the barrel will likely slip right in if the problem is only a small interference fit issue.
If you wipe the receiver down with an oily rag, the oil on the receiver will begin to smoke around 380 degrees F or whatever the specific smoke point is of the oil you used.

Does it not fit because it's too tight going in? Or it goes in nicely but seems to get caught? If the former, put the barrel in a barrel vise, n gently tap the receiver in with a light rubber mallet. If its the latter, unseat the bolt guide but do not remove, insert and fully seat the barrel, then work the bolt guide back. The fitment is so tight at the lip of the bolt guide that if its screwed in place prior to the barrel being seated, it could be interfering..let me know it works.

Thanks for the reply. I had a very nice gentleman walk me through my problem.
Ended up using jeweler's rouge and a polishing wheel on my dremel. Very lightly polished the bolt guide,
left the guide loose ,as I had before, but this time a gentle tap and it seated properly. Tightened up the guide.
All good.

Good to hear. I had the same problem with a tight bolt guide..I just had to install the barrel first n wiggle in the guide.
