How long was your process in Santa Clara county? Was it hard?

Still waiting for the official approval and permit but I applied on 1/9/26, interviewed on 2/3/26, did the psych exam 2/11/26, psych interview 2/16/26, livescan 2/24/26 and the qualification on 3/28/26, so depending on how long it takes to review my qualification documents and schedule the permit pickup it's about 90 days from application to permit in hand. Nothing's been hard, just expensive and had to take the day off work for the psych exam.

Alameda. Various shots and times from 20 yds to 3 yds. Definitely not my best work

thats a weird target for Alameda - mine was anything outside of the "A" box was a deduction.

Found a description online. It's a little different from what I did this year, but the sweet spot isnt - here, they are calling it the "5 zone". The course for Alameda was everything below from the distance standpoint, but was 5 from the holster and 5 low ready. It was timed like below as well but those also look updated - I think at the 25 yrd I had as much as 30 sec from the holster....

I renew this year but this was when I added my echelon onto permit in Jan

LAPD, 7 yds with my P01. I was pretty much point shooting the entire time.

Medic up let me do the challenge for it to be free but I’ve never practiced shooting from the draw. Was slow and missed the first shot on DA.
