Optic for M&P 2.0

I have an M&P 2.0 (not the compact). It has the optic ready slide. I've never had an optic on a handgun before and I want to try one out.

I was going to get the Holosun 407C but it looks like it's only available in 2 moa; I want 6 moa.

The 407K has a 6 moa dot but no solar strip and it says it's for subcompact pistols like the P365. Would it work on my M&P?

Any other recommendations? I may go full RMR some day but until I know if I even like using an optic I'd like to stay closer to the $250 range.

I'm not sure. I thought i was until i looked at the specs. I'd email them and report back. I'm using the 507 comp with 8 moa/2 moa circle dot. I prefer a bigger dot too but will switch to the 2 moa from time to time to test my accuracy. You won't go wrong with holosun.

I run the 507c on my m2.0 compact. You might want to check out the Holosun EPS or EPS carry, very minimal difference in size and they both have a 6 moa I believe. You just need to use your EPS plate. There is also the Vortex Defender CCW 6 moa. No experience with them but heard a lot of good reviews. Good luck with the build, man!

Just get the 407k. Solar strips are a gimmick and the batteries last for a year of continuous use even without the auto-shutoff feature.

Get the EPS if you want something more durable

I have a 507c on my full size 2.0…. The circle cross is great for self defense and dot for precision

I have the 507C X2 ACSS on my 2.0 10mm (and my other carry guns as well). It may look weird but that huge circle is really a cheat code to help find the chevron reticle quickly. I have another red dot that was a dot only (8 MOA) on another gun and it's so much quicker to find the reticle with the ACSS. And I really like the chevron.

I have a p2 and SRO on my setups. I’m using a calculated kinetics optic plate on each as well. Great company

I guess i should’ve mentioned mine is core so it’s optic ready. Jagerwerks cuts slides, just checked, which gives option for LCI for about $260. Maybe reach out to them to verify? Heard they do good work

Mine are factory optic ready as well. I may end up selling a 4.25” optic slide soon.

Mine is an off-roster gun and it was optic ready.
