Legal NON-RESIDENT CCW coming up shortly

Is it?
So the same would apply for modifications. Find a county that allows modifications.
No. California Penal Code sections 26150(a)(5), 26155(a)(5), and 26162 will not apply to Nonresident Applicants. So there is no way for the IA to know if the handgun is or had been modified. The only requirement is that the non-resident applicant identify on the application by make, model, and serial number the handguns capable of being concealed upon the person that they intend to carry in California.

There is an additional twist for nonresidents. They can do the 16 hour class online and the live fire requirement within 75 miles of their residence. I have located two approved online classes. This is important because if the IA where the nonresident applies does not have an approved online class, they must accept an online class that is approved by another IA. I'm just waiting to get a signed copy of the order. Once that happens, one of the providers of an online class will start marketing his class to nonresidents.

Seems that non-residents may end up being far better off than actual residents.
Next up would be to force the state to fully recognize out-of-state permits.
After that, force the state to recognize out-of-state permits issued to it’s own residents who sometimes must wait actual years+ to get one from here.

The problem with recognizing out-of-state permits, is you are still subject to federal school zone laws, that a local permit exempts you from.

No, your AZ non-res CCW, nor any other CCW (besides CA), still does not work in CA.

No provision for honoring non-CA CCW is in this - it extends CA CCW application to some specified groups of non-CA residents.

So, for non-CA residents, it's similar to getting a non-resident UT or AZ or FL CCW.

So if I still have a valid AZ driver's license, could that be used to obtain an AZ CCW? Or do I have to prove residency?
