New 10-round mags felt limited to 8, even with Maglula.

Righto on Mec-Gar! My LGS gave me a little history of Mec-Gar which clued me in early on. :)

All three mags were hard-limited to 8 rounds, even though FunSlagScareHouse said they were 10-round mags. They are decidedly too stiff compared to many of the other Mec-Gar 10-rounders I've tried. I'm just never going to order from them again. I didn't bother opening them up to avoid any return complications, though I know how to open and close a mag. Either way, it's up to them to fix it.

I did order some legit mags from MagShack and eBay so we'll see how those go. Those are factory 10-round compliant mags so hopefully they take 10 rounds more easily.
I'd just open it next time you experience that. Sometimes the mag gets stiff. I had a couple mecgar cz 75 mags, couple XD mags, and a couple glock 29 mags that did that where I could only put in 9 rounds. One of the cz mecgar mags was brand new when i had that issue. I had to open them and reseat the spring and then they worked fine.

Good advice, but 3 out of 3 were like that. Zero of my ten Mec-Gar mags have ever been like that.
