My First USPSA Limited Optics Match

Finally decided to give Limited Optics a try with my Glock 34 after shooting my Sand Viper in Open. This match was from late June.

I expected the transition to be fairly easy... I was definitely wrong.

Besides discovering afterward that my optic was zeroed almost 3 inches off to the right (at 15 yards), I also had two double-feed malfunctions during the match. The biggest surprise, though, was just how different the Glock felt after months of shooting a heavier 2011. The grip angle and increased muzzle flip really threw me off, and I didn't adapt my technique as well as I should have.

Oh, I also decided that trying an Occluded dot for the first time ever was also a good idea :ROFLMAO: 🤦‍♂️ (NOT)

It wasn't my best performance, but I learned quite a bit, and I think it'll make me a better shooter moving forward.

Even with all of those challenges I wound up 62/84 shooters for the match. Not exactly proud of the performance, especially since I was 24/84 shooters in Open for this same match (shot both days), but at least I wasn't all the way at the bottom.

I'd appreciate any feedback from those of you who've made a similar transition. I wound up getting some Tungsten to help weigh the Glock down quite a bit, I'll be covering that in an upcoming video.

You can see, the potential is there, just need to adjust my shooting cadence. This should also improve a lot now that I have confirmed my zero, lol. For those wondering, it was a barrel swap that lead to the shift in zero. I did not expect it to be so far off at shorter distances, but with an 8 MOA dot up close it definitely was a challenge.
