Kern County: Expunged out of State misdemeanor from 25 years ago; disclose or not?

Looking to get my CCW in Kern County. Had a few out of state misdemeanors(nothing violent, disorderly conducts) from 25 years ago. All were expunged, when I enlisted during the surge. My recruiter said he didn't see anything and I ended up with a Secret clearance level. This(to me) was a lifetime ago. Should I disclose? I hear mixed things. Some saying if you disclose its an automatic No. Others saying if its expunged you don't have to. Mind you this is for folks with history here in CA. But for those of us transplants? Thank you.

IMO i would disclose it.They see records different than others will see doing a check.

Disclose it. A fair BI investigator is gonna weigh it for it's current meaning. Your subsequent service and clearance is gonna carry a lot of weight. You're gonna run the risk of giving an unfair Issuing Authority a basis to disqualify you if they are so inclined. I don't see Kern County SO fitting that description.

OTOH, if you do not disclose, plan on being disqualified if your investigator learns of it.

Just tell them, I had a lot worse. The thing they dislike the most is dishonesty. Just like when you get pulled over, it's gonna go a lot better if you are upfront about it and not shady. I got pulled over recently for the first time in years and even thanked the cop and he never even turned the ticket in.

I had a pretty interesting weapons violation in my early youth.
many background checks for work over the years no issues there.
On ccw check I disclosed it and had no issues.

Expunged or not, it doesn't change that fact that the crime happened.

^That was the way it was explained to me when I went through a separate BI process with my local LE office.

Like others have stated, they value the honesty and integrity over what occurred years ago. If you omit/"forgot to include" something in your past, it may read as dishonesty to the BI which will ultimately DQ you from the CCW process.

Disclose.

They will see that you are honest and forthright.

Plus, expunged or not, they will see everything. An automatic no seems like a stretch.

If you do not disclose and they find it, they will deny you. Always disclose. If you are eligible to own and possess firearms, then you are good for a CCW. Unless you do not disclose on your application.

Expunged doesn't erase anything only grants you limited relief. Its still a priorable offense. They will see it. Be ready to explain it, so list it or you will likely be denied if don't.
