I think the bigger or fatter your hands are the more “Problem” it can be without modification.

my mind went there immediately when I read the title. But I knew what you were talking about. At least nobody thought I said Moose Knuckle ......
There's one onmy mind went there immediately when I read the title. But I knew what you were talking about.
I get it when I draw a lot with finger groove models.
Not an issue with my gen 2 or my agency arms stippled and undercut gen 3.
Dang, now I want a gen 5 g19 for $1k. Eventually one will pop up around here.

Its not only from shooting. Depending on how you draw some people make it worse by slamming their middle finger knuckle into the trigger guard.Maybe I don't shoot enough to notice but never had an issue. I only ever shoot about 150 rounds in a sitting though.
One thing I WILL admit is that the factory dingus on G17.3 starts to make my booger-digger sore after a bit. I had only ever used aftermarket shoes and when I put about 150 rounds through my spare frame with all OEM parts I was like "wow, I feel bad for every time I scoffed at people complaining about this".
