Is 6mm Creedmoor still relevant?

I remember just couple years ago, benchrest competitors were spending lots of money building their custom 6mm Creedmoor rifles and handloading their ammo. Is that cartridge still valid today compared to others? 6mm ARC, 6mm GT, 6mm whatever...

If you want a 6mm cartridge with easy to purchase ammo or brass, then 6mm creedmoor is a great option.
6mm Creedmoor has the least expensive ammo/brass of any of the similar sized 6mm cartridges and the largest choice of factory chambered rifles.
6mm creedmoor feeds from standard 308 AICS mags and uses a 308 boltface.
These are the standard that the majority of target rifles are built on so any 308 or 6.5 creedmoor can be rebarrelled into a 6mm creedmoor with just a barrel swap.
6mm arc is a smaller case head and not even in the same league as the creedmoor as the ARC (like the Grendel) is an AR-15 cartridge that does not have much support in bolt guns.

I can’t really say as I live in a very remote area so it’s not like my finger is on the pulse of the industry. I think folks get a little confirmation bias, in that every guy I’ve met who’s owned a 6 or 6.5 creed, or 6 or 6.5 prc, or heck even a 22 creed will explain to you why it’s the best cartridge made currently.

These are all good men I know, I can’t pick a team or side. My son hunts with a .243 and it works well, I’m not concerned with switching him to something else. It’s all personal preference I guess is what I’m trying to say

6mm Creedmoor is superbly accurate but a barrel burner, especially if you keep it above 3000fps. But the fact you can push 100gr+ bullets above 3000fps makes it a great low recoiling medium game hunting cartridge. The 6mm Creedmoor is supported by factory ammo manufacturers, so it's well established.

Most people who shoot 6mm in PRS are going to run 6 GT or 6 Dasher. I still have a gun chambered in 6mm Creedmoor that I rarely shoot since I don't shoot PRS. But when I kill the barrel, I may rebarrel to 6 GT. I have a 22 GT barrel on a Solus action and that's a fun cartridge. But you probably want to stick to the Creedmoor family if you don't handload.
