In your experience, what ranges do you shoot rifle at for 2 gun competitions?

I have shot maybe a half dozen 2 gun matches and some seem to be around an 80 to 100 yard max but one organization regularly does 450 and 550yds. What is average range for the matches you have done? just trying to figure out what an average match consists of.
 
Piru used to hold about 300-500 yards regularly. It was amazing, thank you Al for kicking everyone out for your greed.

I noticed some things on practiscore that looked like that organization changed in the last few months, what happened? It's on my place to go shoot as they have quite a few PRS matches there.
 
The USPSA group was effectively kicked out for not making the range enough money. The owner believes that he can do better renting out the bays to groups on the weekends. Almost all of the clubs have changed Match Directors with the exception of the Wheel Burners. The owners kicked out the guy who set up the steel challenge range and put his hard work and effort into it. I have not shot a match there since they kicked out one of the founding members.

There is no loyalty up in Piru anymore, only greed. The new leaser is no exception.
