I swapped out a gun so had to get a new permit printed. Anyway, I was amused when I walked into the Sheriff's admin building and the guy in the booth immediately said "CCW pickup?"

I laughed and said yes, have him my ID and he pulled out a stack at least 3 or 4 inches deep of pre-printed permits. I commented on the quantity and he said he has another stack just as big. It sounds like lots of people are exercising their rights!

How long did you have to wait for quali day for swapping out pistol? Was it one of those scenario’s where it was a backed up appointment, and then just scan periodically for a random day where someone canceled last minute? I remember for signing up for quali day for initial, the first available appointment was 4 months later, I had to scan everyday once in awhile to get an appointment the 2 months later, canceled the earlier appointment of 4 months later, and then all of a sudden another cancellation so I took someone else’s appointment and ended up doing it in a month instead.

I made an appointment 3 or 4 months out. It was first available at the time I checked back once in a while but never saw an earlier one pop up. I was not in a huge hurry I just wanted to get my P320 off the permit because I'm still unsure of it after all the stuff going on.
