For prepping uses. My cell is an Apple, so I can't use ATAK with it. Can I buy pay as you go android phone (trac phone, Straight talk, etc) and just use the Bluetooth features for ATAK and a drone? The done is cheap amazon model so I can learn to fly the damn thing before I buy an expensive one and crash it and cry.

You can use any android phone. I fly my dji with a older Samsung galaxy phone that has no cell service. You have to download off their website as the Google play store no longer has it available.

Thanks for the info. Do you think I will be better off with a cheap prepaid android phone or an older Samsung phone? If I go with an older Samsung, what Android OS do you think would be a minimum starting point? Sorry, I know crap about Androids.
