I'm just not too sure on long term effects. Does this cause the magazine to become magnetized more so than it may or may not be?

Which may start to attract more debris/fouling.
Issues with steel ammo. May cause magnetic gunk to build up faster than normal. Faster rusting issues are some issues that may rise from the magazine to gun magnetization.

I just avoid magnets for my guns in general. People look for MP markings on ARs for a reason.

And 99% of these products are made in China. Who knows what kind of magnets they use to mfg. despite their claims.

You made some good points above. The increased rate of corrosion would require a powerful, perpendicular magnetic field which is unlikely to exist with this type of mag holder. The debris issue is a reasonable concern but, it's easily addressed. One can use a relatively inexpensive demagnetizer or, you can be a cheap-ass like me and use a simple electric soldering gun. By design, these generate an alternating magnetic field which will disrupt and neutralize the magnetic field in gun components. Just energize the soldering gun and pass it over the magnetized component, slowly, a few times and the magnetic field in the steel part will be eliminated.

not really a problem, my guns are hung up on high power magnets and they work flawlessly.

no extra particles or anything attracting to them
