HK VP9CC

the vp9cc is listed without optic as the price of the cc9 with optic. per the 1911 syndicate youtube with James from HK its cause well, made in germany and imported basically.
based off the videos so far (given it isnt even released in free states til end of month)
vp9cc good IMO paddle mag release. i like that. i find it very natural and part of why i like HK pistols. it is even slightly shorter than the cc9 according to the comparisons. has an ambi slide stop/release which i like as well.

vp9cc bad IMO functionally shorter grip than cc9 (for me anyways the cc9 with the extended mag grip things is like the bare minimum for pinky). and of course doesnt share mags with the cc9. unclear to me if regular vp9 mags fit in it either. and of course the price makes it more expensive than the vast majority of the micro 9s whereas at least in a free state the cc9 is pretty much the same price as everything else.

+/- the vp9cc is slightly fatter than the cc9. not p2000sk fat, but slightly thicker.

i imagine that IF HK is interested in bringing the vp9cc to CA it'll get on the roster with no issues as it's probably functionally the same thing as a vp9

Ironically the P2000SK is thinner than the VP9SK and P30SK, FYI. Haha

Amazing gun, that's my current daily CCW. It's not a micro compact super thin but it's not as thick as a full size gun. Conceals great for me with a polo. the new VP9CC is very tempting if we can get it here...
 
Dual hammer

edit: i've had optic cuts on most of my HK pistols from a variety of places. the idot is probably overall the nicest in the sense of having back up sights, an exchangeable plate etc...

dual hammer tho is local, fast and what Chris was willing to do (it's a function of finding scews that'll work apparently) is a RCR cut on a USP9

Got to handle a VP9CC today. Had high hopes, as I’m a big fan of the VP9 platform, but honestly was sadly disappointed. No grip texture to speak of, not much different in overall size from the CC9, and the trigger guard is tiny! I do have thicker fingers, but I found that the extremely tight trigger guard made it quite a bit more uncomfortable to operate the trigger than most pistols I’ve worked with. Obviously this is just my perspective, and certainly others may have better impressions of the gun, but this is one I certainly won’t be looking to add if/when it lands on the roster.

Thinking about getting one when magazines and hosters are avaliable. Its probably just another micro 9, but i do love paddles.
 
As a big user of HK firearms, I have several. Many, actually. But for my CCW I have listed my P2000SK, my USPc 45, and one of my P7M8s. I have several VP9s and a VP40 and a VP9 Match. To me the P2000SK is essentially a throwaway gun if it has to be taken into evidence. I wouldn’t miss it that much. The grip on the VP9s is spectacular and the trigger equally great. I don’t even use my P30 or others for CCW. I just wouldn’t carry my VP9 because of the size. I don’t have any other subcompacts.
 
Makes no difference, we live in CA. Enjoy the high pricing when trying to get one.
