As we turn the page to 2026, I want to take a moment to look back at what we’ve built together over the last year.
When we started this journey, the goal was simple: provide a reliable, modern website for the California 2A community. We wanted a place that actually worked, where photos loaded, classifieds were safe, and the lights didn't flicker. But in 2025, you turned a small hobby site into a legit resource for California. We've tried many things over 2025, some things like you liked
Looking Back at 2025
The growth we saw this past year was nothing short of amazing. We saw thousands of new members, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge, fair deals, and the kind of spirited discussion that keeps our community alive. We proved that California gun owners don't just fade away when things get tough; we regroup, we reorganize, and we build something better.
- Sponsored our first Level II matches
- Sponsored our first Atheletes
- Hosted our first classes
- Branched out to other ranges
- Grown to over 30k members
- We've migrated systems to a larger more scalable infrastructure
- Upgrade base and operating software systematically
- Small sale of T-shirts (We'll be doing this again, first time I wasn't happy with the cost)
- Range Reviews and FFL Review section added
2026 Mission: Utility Over Noise
The foundation of this site will always be our discussion boards and classifieds. But looking at the new laws taking effect this week targeting everything from how you store guns in your own home to how you buy parts, it’s clear that we need to evolve.
2026 is about building resources that work for you.
- Information Aggregation: You may have already noticed the new section on the homepage. We are cutting through the noise to bring you direct, simplified breakdowns of how new laws affect you. No fear-mongering, just facts.
- The Events System (Alpha): We are moving beyond forum threads for meetups. Our new dedicated Events Calendar is now live in Alpha. Whether it’s a cleanup day, a CCW class, or a competition, we are building the infrastructure to get you out from behind the keyboard and onto the range.
- Statewide Reach: While we are strong in the North, this year we are making a dedicated push to connect with organizers and members in Southern California. If you are in SoCal, we need your help building this network.
- Building an FFL Network: We are actively reaching out to more FFLs and continuing to offer free validation and access to our exclusive FFL-only discussion board.
- Documentation & Process: We are refining the new systems and workflows we have recently implemented. While rising costs are a reality of expansion, we remain committed to always providing a free tier for the community.
- Vendor Support: We want California businesses to stay afloat and thrive. Our goal is to better connect members with reputable businesses to facilitate local support.
The laws may be getting stricter, but our community is getting stronger. Thank you for trusting us with your time and your support.
Here is to a safe, free, and loud 2026.
