I usually post this at Calguns, but this is the first time posting about our little club's fun matches. WE used to be the Lockheed Pistol Club decades ago - now we are the No Name Pistol Club. They are run pretty much like most actionpistol matches - a safety officer, a timer and procedures. I say pretty much as I have not attended a formal match in years. There are only a half dozen or so regulars. We run a match at Burro cnayon every second \Saturday of every month - unless the range is closed like it was last month due to the fires. We have a lot of gear - a plate rack, pepper poppers, knockdowns, etc. If it has rained recently, we are allowed to shoot our steel. (Not his month, obviously.) We run 2 or 3 handgun stages and thena 3 gun stage. ew have the range rental all day, so you ar efree to stay and shoot after the match at no additional cost until range closing time. It is informal - score is kept but it is just for your own use or for bragging rights with any buddies you shoot with. It is a great way to dip your toe into competition and see how things work and to practice before jumping into competition. Here is the info for this month - our annual OK Corral Match. All matches are open to all legal firearms and all shooters old enough to understand the rules and shoot safely. My son started shooting it at about age 12. Beginners are welcome, of course!

This is our annual OK Corral match, so bonus points for firearms available in October of 1881 in Tombstone. You may still use modern firearms if you wish. We will shoot as both the Earps and as the Cowboys, and the Three gun stage will be based on Wyatt Earp's vengeance ride.
Sign up and set up at 9 AM on Range 1C, across the dirt road from the office, closest rental range to the gate. Sign in and pay with us as we pay the range renal and fees.
