EOTECH vs vortex holographic sights

Personally I would go with the uh-1 gen 2. I remember looking through an eotech 512 about 10 years ago when I worked at a local gun store... it basically looked like a pixelated blob to me. I recently checked out the uh-1 gen 2 at an event and it looked great as far as the reticle goes, I think they look nicer as well not that that really matters. I will be getting one on black friday for my scorpion evo. EoTech has been proven forsure and is still a great option though. I would just go check both out.

I will say, if battery life is a concern I would stick to a red dot. I have a aimpoint t-1 I left on for over 5 years before replacing the battery and it wasnt even dead.
holos will only give you 500-1000 hours generally.

Thanks for that. I really like the look of the UH1 so I’m going to pick one up. I think the lower price and outstanding warranty and customer service is a huge winner compared to eotech.

That would be my pick. At the end of the day I don't think you would can go wrong with either. I would go to a local shop and look at both though.. your eye may have the opposite effect that I experienced. It will help you confirm your decision.
