Conversion barrels for Glock 35

I'm getting a Glock 35 (longer slide, caliber 40SW), and I want to convert it to both shoot 357Sig and 9mm. The first step in that is getting conversion barrels. Here are the options I know of:

• Lone Wolf, $135 each, but out of stock, unknown delivery time.
• KKM, $185-$215 each, takes 5-10 weeks to manufacture.
• Glock OEM barrel for 9mm, for example from Glockstore.com, $230.
• Bar-Sto, $250 each, unknown delivery time, supposedly requires fitting.

Did I miss any options?

From an accuracy and reliability point of view, are there really significant differences between the barrels? Reading the scuttlebutt on many forums and web sites gives contradictory answers, mostly from individual anecdotes.

I mean, I personally have had good luck with Lone Wolf, but I'm also not shooting a million rounds or carrying for work. I'd probably lean toward Bar Sto or OEM if I cared. I also don't swap mags or extractor, but I would in a duty gun. I also have a 22 slide and conversion barrels for that as as well.

I've used several Lone Wolf conversion barrels, and they all do great and accurate as stock Glock barrels. Lots of rounds through them as well.
KKM is good as well, a bit pricey/boogie
Glock OEM, I mean it's Glock so wouldn't worry about quality tbh
Bar-sto, never tried them

I don't think you can use an OEM barrel, the 40 cal and 9mm are different exterior diameter I believe. gen 3 oem barrels arent the Pinnacle of accuracy, you will notice a difference if you get a kkm or similar

Darn it, forgot about that: there is no 9mm OEM barrel for the 35 slide. Scratch that option. Thanks for the reminder.

I have several KKM barrels and like them. Also a Barsto, and some Lone Wolf. One of them, I forget which brand, was a 6" 10mm barrel that I had to send back as it was a hair tight and caused FTE. The replacement worked fine, which I eventually sold and now have a 45acp breech sized 6.5" 10mm barrel for my G21, and it's awesome.

There is another similar thread in here but for Glock 22. Although not my experience, if I am understanding it right, a good many just use a similar-frame Glock 9mm barrel into a similar-frame Glock 40SW upper even if the barrel OD is smaller. It does not seem to affect accuracy. So, a Glock 34 OEM barrel would theoretically work in a Glock 35. Well, I have a 34 and a 35 I might just try it out, but I have a Glockstore Double Diamond conversion barrel and it's been working flawlessly with no other parts (extractor, ejector, etc) swapped in.

I've got a G22 and a G17, I guess I can test fit that. If the OD is smaller on the 9mm barrel though, I'd be uncomfortable shooting it that way more than just as a novelty. Maybe it's fine.

Supposedly the frame is identical between 17, 22, 34, and 35 (and a few others). So one could just convert the 35 to 9mm by putting a 34 (or 17L or 17) slide on it. Since I don't have any Glock yet, none of this is from experience, only from reading the web ... and you know how much you can trust that.

The frames are the same, but the ejectors are different. That said, I've never had any issues with my 40S&W ejectors for 9mm using conversion barrels, so while I may not trust it as a carry gun, it's fine for a range toy.

I have a Glock 23 Gen 4, I use a Lone Wolf conversion barrel, so far has been flawless (150 rounds) with the 9mm. The brass ejects a little bit closer than the 40, so I bought the Gen 4 9mm recoil assembly, haven't tried it yet to see if it ejects any differently, but read it somewhere that it helps. Had a Lone Wolf for my Gen 3 Glock 22, also worked flawless. They're hard to find online, I found mine on Calguns marketplace. Bear Creek Armory makes them, they're pretty cheap but might be worth a try for range use. There's also a company that Sootch recommends on his YouTube channel, but I don't recall the name. Not supposedly. Excluding the trigger housing, which is super cheap to replace but you don't even need to, the frames are exactly the same. Even the recoil spring is the same for 9mm and .40. I've never had an issue using a .40 cal ejector with a 9mm slide assembly.

I use a factory Gen 3 Glock 34 MOS slide on my LE trade-in Glock 22 frame all the time. That's what I recommend OP do. Don't mess around with goofy-looking conversion barrels. Conversion barrels were necessary, like 10 years ago, when complete 9mm slide assemblies were scarce. Times have changed. Not only does Glock sell it's own optic-ready replacement slides but the market is saturated with Glock slides. Get an optic-ready 9mm slide and 9mm barrel.
