closing out my first year on firearm ownership and collecting with a US Krag whose serial falls into the antique range rather then C&R range. this past year has been an obviously financially poor year for me. but I feel satisfied in that I was able to hunt down 2/3 of my grail antiques (the Krag and Lebel) the final one would be a Martini Henry chambered in .303 which i found one but it turned out to be a Khyber Pass copy. I'll likely be taking a break from collecting for now to recover from this devastation on my bank account save for the Martini which also means icing my remaining list for the time being.
But more about the Krag, it's serial falls into the Antique range rather then the C&R range so I was able to have it shipped to my house direct and based on the range, saw service in the Philippines to shoot at Moro Rebels or in the Spanish-American War with an artillery regiment
