Can you share some pictures of how you attach your rifle to your back pack?

I'm trying to figure out how to securely attach my rifle to my backpack on long hikes. I don't really need to quickly take out my rifle but looking to secure it to my backpack so it doesn't move around too much when I'm hiking. I just have a standard 3-day pack so I'm hoping to get some ideas to attach my rifle to any standard molle style pack.

I have eberlestock packs with scabbards but Kifaru is another good option

My backpack I bought had a small part that hung down. You put the rifle through a part of the pack then put the stock in the part that hung down.

Worked fine but definitely cannot get out that fast.

Forgot Kuiu but agree that looks like a really clever system I'd buy one without thinking twice if I wasn't already covered.

I use this same one too. I use the universal for one back and the molle style one for the other pack that has molle webbing on the waist belt. This is good for quick storage and quick deployment; but mainly good in the part where you don’t need to remove your pack to store or deploy. I noticed other packs storage system all pretty much require removal of pack to store in the side of the pack or rear of the pack.

Seems like they are sold out at the moment. Maybe because it’s within the season.

For quail hunts, I don’t use it much anymore as I noticed there were times I had the shotgun in the gun bearer stored, by the time I realized I flushed a covey; it was already too late. Well not always too late, but I would deploy and run after them to their next flush spot or drop my pack if I know I will be doing some running up and down different terrain along with stomping through brush. That’s the beauty out of chasing little miniature short distance flying chickens that dart like little rockets. They are beautiful and plump but after the feathers are gone, one breast, barely two wings and two legs; leaves me wanting more meat.

Most hunting day packs have integrated rifle boots.

I use an Exo Mountain Gear pack and rifle carrier. Depending on the terrain, I also use a Marsupial Gear scope and muzzle cover.
