I want to get my shadow 2 orange cut for optic. I think I will ship to them and have them do it. Anyone know the lead times on this? Also if there are better options im open to hearing them.

I had an S2 slide optic cut by Primary Machine. Also had them do their Harbinger V2 milling. Turned out great, though it was about a 3 month lead time.

I know little to nothing about polishing. I’ve done some googling and searched YouTube about polishing. About 100% of it is how to polish and nothing on why to polish beyond evening out wear points. Is that all it is to make the actions/motions smoother?

You polish to smooth out but without re-shaping.
It's also important to know exactly where to polish and how much it's ok to re-shape some things but absolutely not ok to re-shape other things.
Polishing is definitely a place that people without experience can screw up parts.

For the best possible results you are going to want to do it yourself in order to get everything polished up well. I have done an SP-01 and a PCR. The decocker model is a little more challenging but within anyone’s reach.

Did my cz75 tactical myself and polished everything up while I was in there. Not a terribly difficult job but definitely takes some time.

I've been thinking about getting the cajun gunworks pro kit done for my cz sp01 but I'm kinda sketch out about sending my gun through the mail, I'm thinking about getting the kit and having a local gunsmith do it but does anyone know a good local gunsmith in the Socal ie area that's good with cz's?

Hello, I had 2 pistols get Cajun kits and there is no regrets. My go to gun smith in OC took care of this no issues.

I've done it myself on an SP-01, Shadow 2, and P-01. The P-01 almost broke my will to live, but a) it is the de-cocker model, and b) I am not particularly "handy." With all the decent Youtube videos out there and a reasonable set of tools, it is definitely a DIY-able install.

Yesterday I wanted to switch the mag release to the right side and the trigger bar was in the way of the screw for the mag release spring. I ended up doing half a pro package install and rebuilt the sear cage. At the time it's extremely frustrating but rewarding when you're done.
